Douglas Development Wins 1st Mayor's Trophy6/12/08The Aynor Journal reported today that Mayor Robbie Taylor of Aynor, SC presented the first ever Mayor's Trophy to Douglas Development. The Mayor's Trophy is a quarterly award presented to an outstanding business by the town and Chamber of Commerce, based on the business's appearance. The Mayor's Trophy for the Summer of 2008 was presented to Douglas Development and accepting the award on behalf of the company were Herb Ward and Jackie Hardwick. City of Lebanon Certificate of Appreciation08/28/2006On August 4, 2006 Mayor Don Fox and the City of Lebanon Beautification Commission presented the Saddlebrook Senior Apartments with a Certificate of Appreciation "For Your Dedication and Participation in Promoting Community Beautification Awareness". This certificate is presented by the city to businesses whose hard work and efforts in beautifying their properties results in clean and attractive places which have a large impact on all the community.

Local Officials to Address Affordable Housing at Opening of King's Crossing10/17/2005Read More (pdf) Douglas Development Refurbishes Myrtle Beach Air Force Base10/10/2005The 800 homes on the Seagate Village grounds were built in the early 1950’s for the officers and airmen serving at the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. After the base closed in the early 1990’s, Douglas Development bought and refurbished the 275 acre property, including updating all units and the surrounding roads. The homes were offered for sale as a condo community and the project was a huge success with total sales of $95 million. The sale of the units was completed in the summer of 2005.
